After luckily finding bunnysitters for our 4 bunnies (thanks again, Claudi and Franzi) we were able to take off. Our first stop was San Bruno, just a little south of San Francisco, where we met Lisa and Paul from The Busy Bunny and paid a visit to the new House Rabbit Society Headquarters with them.

After the bunny-cages are gone, the living room seems empty except for the slowly filling suitcases	Alle Meilen der letzten 5 Jahre werden auf den Kopf gehauen - so sieht's in der First Class aus. Besuch bei der House Rabbit Society / Visiting the House Rabbit Society
Uwe, Lisa und Paul vor dem neuen Hauptquartier der HRS. Ende 2000 war es endlich soweit: Nach langen Jahren konnte die House Rabbit Society ein richtiges Hauptquartier eröffnen, komplett mit Adoptionszentrum, Verwaltung, Schulungsräumen und Giftshop Uwe, Lisa and Paul in front of the new HRS HQ. Finally, in late 2000 the House Rabbit Society was able to open a real headquarter, complete with adoption facilities, offices, teaching rooms and gift shop	Es handelt sich um eine ehemalige Arztpraxis. Die Behandlungszimmer wurden in Adoptionsräume umgebaut. The building used to be a chiropractors clinic. The treatment rooms were changed into adoption rooms
In jedem der ehemaligen Behandlungszimmer sind 4 Abteile mit je einem oder zwei Kaninchen. In each of the former treatment rooms there are 4 compartments with 1 or 2 bunnies each.	Die Kaninchen können dort adoptiert werden, Pärchen werden natürlich nur gemeinsam abgegeben The bunnies can be adopted there. Bonded pairs are only adopted out together.
Natürlich dürfen sie auch mal raus	Of course they are allowed to roam the buiding every once in a while (under supervision, of course)
